Creating your Wedding Plan – Kelowna Wedding Planner

Sometimes people feel a bit lost and overwhelmed when it comes to where to start with planning your wedding. It can be a bit daunting, but if you break it down into smaller chunks, and then start thinking of the big picture for your wedding, it will be a lot easier.

Some good questions to start with:

When do we want our wedding to take place? Do we have a favourite season?

Where do we want to have our reception? Is there somewhere that is meaningful to us?

What do we want it to look like?

How formal will our wedding be?

What is our style? Are we more traditional, more modern, contemporary or maybe even quirky?

What are our priorities? We want all of our families there? We want a small, intimate group of guests?

What is our budget? Will our families help us with the bill? How much can we realistically afford for a wedding?

Once you have answers to most of these questions, it is a great start to your wedding plan. And is a good time to bring on aboard a Wedding Planner. She can take your beginnings, to help you find a venue, your vendors and work with your budget. A planner is there not to “take over” your wedding, she has the experience to know which vendors are good, and which are not so good. She knows which ones will fit you the best, and fulfil your expectations. She also has the experience of which vendors book up early and which ones you can leave longer.

I design a road map for my clients to follow along to, so there is no surprises and we are all on the same page of the plan. Contact me today, and let me show you how I can help make your dream wedding a reality.

I hope that this helps you get the first steps of your wedding plan under way.
